Update, 4:40 p.m.: One firefighter was sent to the ER with a heat-related injury, according to CFR Assistant Fire Chief Michael Rios.

The family of three was displaced due to the house damage and will be staying with family, he said.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A house in Sango took severe damage in a fire Monday afternoon.

At about 1 p.m., the house on Lawry Lane caught fire, according to Assistant Fire Chief Michael Rios.

There were no injuries, but the home will have severe damage.

While the cause was still under investigation, it apparently started in the garage, then moved inside, Rios said.

Battalion 2 crews from Engine 2, Ladder 3, Rescue 3, Ladder 12, Squad 1 and District 3 responded.

As of 1:45 p.m., firefighters were still putting out hot spots.
