CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A major internet outage has been reported by CDE Lightband.
Officials at CDE said a fire has damaged a mainline fiber.
“More than likely it is an electrical circuit that sparked and then it caught the fiber on fire,” spokesperson Christy Batts said.
Approximately 250 to 300 customers have been affected by the outage.
Crews are currently on site attempting to splice the fiber.
“Hopefully service can be restored pretty quickly,” Batts said.
A fire damaged mainline fiber. Affected area is large, no ETA, at this time, when service restored as repair will take great deal of time.
