CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A local veteran couple’s visit to a woodworking workshop in Nashville has turned into a new small business right here in Clarksville.

Leanne Lannan and with her husband Johnathon are co-owners of Nailed It DIY Studio, and she said her experience at the workshop led her to believe they could do it too, and do it better, to offer Clarksville families affordable local fun.

Clarksville’s site is the 20th studio in the company.

Leanne served four years in the Air Force, and Johnathon was in both in the Air Force and the Army. The two met while serving at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.

Nailed It DIY has a mission to teach, so everyone can create hand-built home décor. Lannan added they allow everyone to put personal little touches into their projects.

“We do have a lot of signs that you can personalize with your name and your date that you were established, whether that’s the date you were established as a parent, or the date you got married, or the date you moved into your house,” Lannan said.

Nailed It DIY hosts a number of events, and Lannan said they are planning to do more in 2022. This year they started Nailed It Unplugged, featuring live music. Attendees can bring in food and drink and work on their project.

Next year, kid’s camps are on the schedule for spring break, and future plans are for a parent’s night out, with activities and creative stations for the youngsters.

Nailed IT DIY can host birthday parties, virtual parties, fundraising events, youth activities, team building, girl’s night out, family time and just about any kind of celebration.

“I’m not the only DIYer in Clarksville. I want to bring other people that know what I don’t here, so that other people can learn about something they might have an interest in. I’m hoping to bring the DIYer’s of Clarksville together,” Lannan said.

Nailed IT DIY Studio is at 2670 Madison St., Suite A, and they are available for appointments on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, they are open from noon-9 p.m., and Sunday 1-6 p.m.
