Let’s face it – summer just wouldn’t be the same without ice cream. Local ice cream parlor Golly G’s recently opened a Clarksville location at 2622 Madison Street. The business has another popular store in Pleasant View, which prompted the Clarksville addition. The shop has ice cream, homemade cookies, cinnamon rolls, mini-pies, and coffee in a variety of flavors.
Johnny’s Big Burger has been a staple in the Clarksville community since 1965. Located across the street from the APSU campus, the quaint diner serves fresh, juicy hamburgers as well as the infamous honey bun and cream grilled treat. Stop in and check out the 60s diner theme and grab a smooth chocolate shake to go.
Yellowtail Robata Grill & Sushi is a locally-owned restaurant that serves sushi as well as an extensive menu full of Asian cuisine. The decor makes it perfect for a summer date night, complete with a full-service bar. If you need something quick for lunch, their bento boxes are cheap and filling.
Hungry college kids have been stopping by Wicked Good Sandwiches for the past few years. Formerly on College Street, they can now be found at 605 Cumberland Drive. The new location has allowed Wicked Good to book many local bands so patrons can enjoy the show while chowing down on subs, meatballs, mozzarella sticks, and more.
A cold glass of beer is the best way to end a hot summer day. The Blackhorse Pub & Brewery has been serving up cold brews to the Clarksville area for 25 years. The restaurant also specializes in pizzas, beer cheese, sandwiches, and tons of other items.
