HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The infamous hamburgers at Ferrell’s will soon be back on the menu as they open their doors again in February.

A fire in July 2019 caused the historic downtown restaurant in Hopkinsville, Ky. to close its door for renovations.

Ferrell’s Snappy Service, the original name of Ferrell’s Hamburger, will have a  ribbon-cutting and open house on  Thursday, February 13 at Ferrell’s, 1001 South Main Street in Hopkinsville, the Christian County Chamber of Commerce confirmed.

The ribbon-cutting will not be a time when the restaurant serves food, but to celebrate their reopening and give everyone a chance to tour the renovated restaurant.

“Downtown Hopkinsville was devastated last July when Ferrell’s caught fire.  The iconic restaurant has been in the same location on Main Street since 1936,” said Robin Tabor, director of Membership and Fundraising for the Christian County Chamber of Commerce. ” The Chamber of Commerce, along with the community are thrilled the decision was made to rebuild and now we will all celebrate with a ribbon-cutting and open house on Thursday, February 13th at 2:00 pm.  We encourage everyone to come and celebrate with us.”

However, don’t come with your mouth watering for a famous burger.  The restaurant will officially open for business on Friday, February 14th, she concluded.
