Frederick Eugene Ellis, Sr., 58, of Camp Zama, Japan, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Sagamihara-Kanagawa, Japan.
Frederick was born on December 21, 1957, in Clarksville, TN to the late William H. Ellis and Lorine Anderson Ellis. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Suk H. Ellis; brothers, William H. Lisenbee, Parker L. Anderson, Frank E. Ellis, and Aubrey D. Ellis; sisters, Francis M. Cooke and Mona D. PeeWee.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, January 22, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Frederick was the Lead Exercise Planner with the U.S. Army in Japan. He was a U.S. Air force Veteran, having served as part of the Tactical Air Combat Party (TACP). He was a member of Greenhill Baptist Church.
Frederick is survived by his son, Frederick E. Ellis, Jr. of Misawa AB, Japan; two daughters, Susan L. Tyrell of Hattiesburg, MS and Sheana M. Weston of Joint Base Hickam, HI; four brothers, Ronzie L. Ellis, William H. Ellis, Michael G. Ellis, and Patrick D. Ellis; three sisters, Lucy M. Wright, Katherine E. Wells, and Margie L. Daniels; and six grandchildren.
Military will serve as pallbearers.
