UPDATE: Clarksville woman killed in overnight crash on Interstate 24

Update, 12:35 p.m.: A Clarksville woman was killed in the crash, according to a THP preliminary report.

Jillian Nicole Ross, 20, was driving a 2005 Honda Accord. She veered off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected, then exited off the right side. The car hit one tree and then another tree before coming to a rest, the report said.

No one else was injured in the wreck.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – At least one person was killed in a single-vehicle wreck last night on Interstate 24.

At about 11:52 p.m., a white vehicle traveling westbound, left the roadway and struck a tree at the .4 mile marker, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

Clarksville Police, Tennessee Highway Patrol and Clarksville Fire Rescue responded.
