CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — (CLARKSVILLENOW) Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TN, Inc celebrated the construction of its 92nd home at a dedication ceremony on July 9 in Clarksville. The new homeowners, the Fuller family, thanked all who worked so hard to help them reach this goal. There were many volunteers and sponsors supporting the Fuller family throughout the homebuilding process.
The dedication ceremony began with a warm welcome, followed by a prayer for blessings for the family’s new home, presentation of a quilt donated by Daughters of the Revolution, a certificate for trees to be planted during the fall months. Margaret Alexander presented the family with a bible and kind words. Many of the sponsors have been long time supporters of Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County.
After explaining, that the Fuller family had performed 250 sweat equity hours working on their home and the homes of others as a requirement for becoming Habitat homeowners, Herb Baggett, Construction Manager, presented the family with the key to their new home.
At the end of the ceremony, Paige Fuller invited supporters inside for a tour of the home. “I am blessed to be in a new home that is affordable and now I have the ability to provide a safe place where my children can grow and have their own space,” Fuller said.
“We are grateful and blessed that our sponsors and volunteers are gracious and generous enough to continuously support the mission of Habitat for Humanity, which allows us to build more homes for families in need,” said Erica Outlaw with Habitat for Humanity.
