FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Cheers, applause, and a lot of smiling faces welcomed home 150 soldiers with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Strike, as they were reunited with their families and friends Wednesday evening at the Passenger Processing Center at Fort Campbell. The soldiers returned from a nine-month deployment to Europe.

Sergeant Nehemiah Woods said this when asked what it felt like to be back at Fort Campbell. “It’s pretty exciting, it’s something we’ve been waiting on for a long time. I’m just excited to be back for sure. I don’t have family here, they are like all across the world right now, but I know a lot of the other guys have their families here,” Woods said.
