HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday evening on Grenville Rd. in Hopkinsville.
According to a report from CCSO, Kyle Lee Johnson, 33, was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center after he suffered gunshot wounds. He later died from his injuries.
Witnesses told deputies Johnson had an altercation with his family earlier in the day at their home and threatened to harm them. Around 6:15 p.m., he forced his way into his parents’ home, wielding a shotgun. His father then shot him twice in the chest.
Investigators have continues to interview witnesses and collect evidence. No arrests have yet been made.
