CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police are investigating a suspected homicide that occurred early Wednesday at an apartment on Fairview Lane.

Officers conducted a welfare check at around 2:30 a.m. and found a deceased female, who has been identified as 20-year-old Allison Tenbarge of Evansville, Indiana.

44News in Evansville, Indiana reports that Tenbarge is the daughter of Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Lieutenant, Kenneth Tenbarge.

According to a news release, the initial investigation points to a domestic-related homicide.

The suspect, Quentin Bird, 21, of Clarksville abandoned his vehicle in Kuttawa, Ky and broke into a residence at Rocky Ridge RV Park. KSP found the vehicle and, shortly thereafter, found a residence with a broken window that had blood on it. They surrounded the residence and called for Bird to come out, at which time, he was taken in custody without incident.

Bird was transported by Lyon County Ambulance Service to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Once he is medically cleared, he will be charged in Kentucky with second degree burglary and tampering with evidence.

Bird will then be extradited back to Clarksville and charged with criminal homicide.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police (KSP), U.S Marshals of Evansville, and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation assisted with the arrest.
