CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – For one special night of the year – summer solstice, midsummer’s eve – Clarksvillians can encounter the magic of a fairy village nestled in the woods of Rotary Park.
Montgomery County Parks and Recreation has teamed up with the Clarksville Arts and Heritage Council’s Arts for Hearts program to bring Midsummer Magic to Clarksville.
They had help from nearly 80 Clarksvillians, who constructed houses for fairies and trolls – small, whimsical structures to attract these mythical creatures to the park’s trails.

During the Midsummer Magic free event this Thursday, June 20, from 7 to 9 p.m., visitors can stroll the enchanted trails with fairy and troll houses hidden along the way, enjoy live music from Red River Breeze and performances from the Roxy, and take a look at artwork by local artists depicting the magic of a Tennessee summer. Light refreshments to please the most fastidious fairy will be on hand as well as the Chillz Italian Ice food truck.
Parking at Rotary Park is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be designated handicap parking at the Nature Center for those with tags. Costumes and flashlights are encouraged.
