CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Opening night is getting closer for the upcoming production of “Exit Laughing” at Cumberland Arts Centre (CAC), which opens Friday, April 22.
This production written by Paul Elliot and directed by Art Conn, features some veteran actors as well as some new faces to the CAC.
The cast includes Hannah Lee as Rachel, Judy Cloud as Connie, CC Carmack as Leona, Ginger Mulvey Beireis as Millie and Scotty Phillips as Bobby.
Synopsis: There’s nothing funny about dying … or is there? Exit Laughing makes death more approachable as it reveals the funny side of “passing on.” As painful as it is to lose a loved one, Exit Laughing shows us that in times of grief, humor can help us with coping and even healing. As one reviewer says, “It’s The Golden Girls meets Steel Magnolias”.
Production dates are April 22, 23, 29 & 30. Cumberland Arts Centre is located at 710 Main St. in Downtown Clarksville.
