Clarksville, Tenn – Clarksville’s Conversation sat down with Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett to discuss the proposed Multi Purpose Event Center that could be built in downtown Clarksville.
Mayor Durrett, Charlie, and Katie discuss the type of events a center such as this would bring to the community. Funding for the center has been a concern, and Mayor Durrett outlines funding plans. Finally, Durrett outlines future planning and partnership with Nashville Predators.
A Town Hall meeting, held last night, allowed the community to express support and have questions answered.
Final vote for funding happens at the County Commission meeting on Monday, May 13 at 6PM.
