FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The ex-husband of slain soldier Shadow McClaine was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole.
According to Maj. Martin Meiners, Public Affairs Officer at Fort Campbell a court-martial concluded Friday in a Fort Campbell courtroom in the case of U.S. v. Sgt. Jamal Williams-McCray.

A military judge sentenced Williams-McCray to life with the possibility of parole. However, in accordance with a pre-trial agreement, the convening authority limited his sentence to 75 years.
Williams-McCray is the ex-husband of slain Fort Campbell soldier Shadow McClaine who went missing in September 2016.
Her remains were found in January 2017 after an extensive search. McCray and Spc. Charles Robinson III were charged with homicide in her death.
Last week Williams-McCray pleaded guilty to premeditated murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to obstruct justice and solicitation.
In addition, Williams-McCray was reduced in grade to E1, dishonorably discharged, and had all pay and allowances forfeited.
