Everett R. Payne, 88, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Everett was born in Marshall, NC to the late Zachariah Frank Payne and Lillie Mae Lunford Payne. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Payne.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
Everett retired from the military with service in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army, which included a tour in WWII. He also retired from United States Postal Service.
Everett is survived by two sons, Charles Bradley (Pat) Payne of Severn, MD and Everett (Cathy) Payne, Jr. of Hanover, MD; daughter, Shirley Bridenthal of Clarksville, TN; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
