CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) A wreath was laid at the Eternal Flame on Public Square during a ceremony Friday in Clarksville.
The ceremony included a color guard, 21 gun salute, and the playing of Taps from soldiers with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) from Fort Campbell.
The ceremony honors local military as part of the Welcome Home Veterans Celebration in Clarksville.
The wreath was placed by Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Fort Campbell Garrison Commander Colonel Joseph Kuchan, and Montgomery County Commissioner John Gannon representing Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett.
