Congratulations to the latest ESPN Clarksville & Culver’s Athletes of the Week: Alec Kegler and Shaun Robinson from Northeast High School.

Both players are seniors for the Eagles with Kegler at forward and Robinson at guard. The team took the District Championship and a region semifinal berth for the 2018-19 season.

“I’m proud of Kegler because he overcame some adversities from an injury and he stayed focused on what he needed to do and what the team needed him to do throughout the year, even when he wasn’t on the floor, and he made a huge difference,” Northeast Boys Head Basketball Coach John Stigall said.

Stigall said Robinson was one of the team’s leaders for the entire year.

“He did a lot to hold us together before Alec came back. He was kind of our glue guy, our heart and soul, and did a great job leading our program,” he said. “They’re the only two seniors who have played for four years, the last three were for me. They’ve won 84 games in four years, they won two district titles, two region titles, two sub-state appearances, a state final four. It’s one of the winningest periods in the program’s history and those two were a big part of all of it.”
