Northwest High School’s (NWHS) quarterback, Gabe Sibert, is this week’s ESPN CLARKSVILLE & Culver’s Athlete of the Week.

Sibert’s recent play against West Creek High School was described as a “monster game” by the coaching staff. Sibert had 276 yards passing, 4 touchdowns, and added a rushing touchdown as the Vikings beat the Coyotes 47-10.

Sibert is a junior who also plays basketball and baseball for NWHS. Head Football Coach Vernon Wright said the coaches are very excited about Sibert.

“One of the best things about him is that he’s a leader. It’s very exciting to coach a guy like that,” Wright said.

Wright said one of Sibert’s teachers said he’s doing fantastic in class and she’s very proud of the behavior he displays and what he’s doing with his academics.

“That’s very rewarding as a coach to hear that your student athlete is doing what they are supposed to do,” Wright said.

Congratulations to ESPN Clarksville & Culver’s High School Athlete of the Week, Gabe Sibert.
