CLARKSVILLE, TN − This year’s Empty Bowls event once again netted a record-breaking donation total. The annual event is a grassroots collaboration, with twelve locations serving up home-cooked soups to raise awareness about hunger in our community. Lunch and dinner options were offered to guests.

A record 32 sponsors participated this year, bringing in more than $25,000. Online ticket sales also hit a new all-time high. Most importantly, this year marks the most dollars ever raised in the seventeen years of Empty Bowls – a whopping $48,000!

All of this took place in an effort to support local agencies addressing food insecurity. Loaves and Fishes, Urban Ministries, and Manna Cafe Ministries each received $16,000 to help in their mission of feeding the hungry.
