Elsie L. Milliken, age 89, of Indian Mound, TN, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Spring Meadows Health Care. Mrs. Milliken was born December 11, 1933, to the late Henry Bascum Cheatham and Eava Dennis Cheatham in Montgomery County, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas “Doug” Milliken; brothers, Willie, Roscoe and Harland Cheatham and sisters, Jewel, Margie, Thelma and Joyce.
Elsie is survived by her brother, James (Lillian) Cheatham and several nieces and nephews. She worked as a homemaker. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Elsie’s neighbor for their love and care.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 am until the hour of the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens.
