Elmo Ligon Sr., age 88 of Clarksville passed away Thursday, September 29, 2015.
Visitation Tuesday, October 6, 2015 12:00 noon til 7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at
Foston Funeral Home Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Foston Memorial Chapel. Burial Restlawn Cemetery, Cedar Hill, TN.
He was born July 31, 1927 in Guthrie, KY to the late Chester T. Ligon and Eliza Bolden Ligon. He was a member of Sulphur Springs AME Church. He retired from the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife Gladys Virginia Ligon and his brothers and sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memories daughters, Margie R. Gray, Barbara J. Beaty, Bonnie L. Hinton and Donna L. Duncan; son Elmo e. Ligon and 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
