CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Camp Rainbow Radiothon, held annually each February, begins Thursday, Feb. 20 and runs through Friday, Feb. 21. The event seeks to raise money and awareness for the local non-profit event, Camp Rainbow.

Since the 1980s, Camp Rainbow has provided children with life threatening and serious illness a place to enjoy time outside. Away from their daily medical struggles, and the looming uncertainty of their futures, these children are no longer forced into the confines of their medical diagnosis. Instead, they enjoy a week of making their dreams come true.

Supported by community donors and local businesses, Camp Rainbow takes place in Brandon Springs Group Camp in Dover, TN. The secluded cabin setting by the lake is the perfect backdrop for a week of motorcycle rides, visits from the fire department, talent shows, inflatable swan races, petting zoos and more. The staff at Camp Rainbow are completely volunteer-led. The team of doctors and nurses, from Premier Medical Group, are available 24 hours a day also donating their time and talents to camp each year.

For two days, Beaver 100.3 takes to the airwaves, sharing a message of hope and gratitude as campers, their parents, and counselors share the story of Camp Rainbow. Since 2009, the radiothon has raised over $500,000 for camp.

Consider making a donation to Camp Rainbow. All money raised goes to support the camp experience and ensures the camp remains 100% FREE to the families of the campers. DONATE HERE.
