Edward Kawabata, age 89, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Tennessee State Veterans Home.
Edward was born May 29, 1933 in Kamuela, HI, to the late Massichi and Kikue Kato Kawabata. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Kawabata and son, John Bassingthwaite.
He is survived by four sons, Edward (Scarlet) Bassingthwaite, Steve (Karen) Bassingthwaite, Thomas and Ronald Bassingthwaite; three daughters, Patricia Lowell, Sue (Carl) Wall and Donna (John) Wolitski; two brothers, George and Raymond Kawabata and one sister, Dorothy Kawabata as well as twenty-one grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
