Edward Eugene Jeffries, age 74 of Clarksville, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
Edward was born on October 6, 1947, in Raleigh, NC to the late Robert and Dora Jeffries. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Edward Eugene Jeffries, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Yang Cha Jeffries; daughter, Kimberly (Craig) Zimmermann, and sons, Imari K. Paris Jeffries (partner, Miriam Ortiz), Marquez D. (Lauren) Jeffries; grandchildren, Imani Vieira, Michelle Almonte, Mia Paris Jeffries, Gael Paris Jeffries, Jackson Jeffries, Brooklyn Jeffries and Adele Zimmermann.
The youngest of 11 siblings Edward was an aspirational father for his children, encouraging them to reach their full potential. He instilled values of honesty, a strong work ethic, and family. He was a United States Army Veteran and a 33rd Degree Mason and Shriner. He attended Northeast Baptist and served with the Chaplain Services at Tennova Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Brumfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Edward Jeffries Northeast Baptist Scholarship.
