Edward (Eddie) Cecil Ferguson, age 70, of Southside, TN, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at his home.
Eddie was born July 22, 1944, in Nashville, TN, to the late Owen M. Ferguson and Catherine Meadows Ferguson. He was also preceded in death by his previous wife, Mildred Jane Ferguson; and his son, Dwayne Edward Ferguson.
Mr. Ferguson retired after 30 years as a proud iron worker. He was a member of Liverworth Church of God, the Local Iron Workers Union #492, the Moose Lodge #1027, and a life-long member of VFW Post #4895.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Harold Batson officiating. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 19, and on from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Ferguson of Southside, TN; four daughters, Mary Adkins of Paducah, KY, Shari Ferguson of Surprise, AZ, Laura (Ken) Mendiola of Paducah, KY, and Carolyn (Danny) Otten of Cunningham, TN; 18 brothers and sisters; 23 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Susie Ferguson of Southside, TN; and three stepdaughters, Jennifer Marks of Tampa, FL, Lisa (Sal) Corona of Clarksville, and Cathy Dozier of Southside, TN.
Pallbearers will be Adam Neely, Joey Perry, Doyle Mackins, Sal Corona, Gary King, and Greg Hollis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
