Edna Pearl Crawford McWhorter, age 93 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The McWhorter family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.
Edna entered this life on August 30, 1930 in Palmyra, TN, daughter to the late Solomon Knox Crawford and Annie Marie Nash Crawford. Edna was a faithful member of Tennessee Ridge Baptist Church for over 50 years where she remained very active within the church family. Edna was a homemaker who loved working with her crossword puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, sister, friend and mamaw to many; she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her siblings, Thurman Crawford, Charles Crawford, Marvin Crawford, John Douglas Crawford, Madolyn Conatser, Martha Johnson, Imogene Lokey, and nine half siblings.
Survivors include his loving children, Eugene McWhorter, Wanda Gail McWhorter, Audrey McWhorter, Shirley McWhorter; brother, Kenneth Crawford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
