Edith Estelle Wall Scott, 97, of Clarksville, TN, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Fieldstone Place Assisted Living. She was born in Montgomery County, TN to the late Elbridge Pike Wall and Bertha Rebecca Daniel Wall. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Robert Franklin Scott in 1995; brother, Buford; and three sisters, Vernelle, Ellen, and Jessie.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Richard Wesley and Rev. Karen Barrineau officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013, and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
Edith was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church for 53 years. She was an active UMW member and member of the Evie Collier Sunday School Class. Her family and church were the core of her life.
She is survived by three sons, Robert (Jeanetta, deceased) Scott of Gallatin, TN, Harry (Carolyn) Scott of Portland, IN, and David (Mary) Scott of Franklin, TN; daughter, Gayle (Jerry) Knickerbocker of Adams, TN; sister, Rebecca Craig of Williamson County, TN; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andy Wyatt, Rob Scott, Daniel Scott, Matt Scott, Drew Wyatt, Trey Eckel, and Caleb Revill.
