CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Edith Pettus Park in Clarksville has been revitalized with a number of new improvements and city officials held a ribbon cutting for the park Monday, May 16 for the public to see the changes.

Edith Pettus Park & Splash Park, at 345 Farris Drive, across from the Austin Peay State University Raymond C. Hand Park baseball field, covers almost 10 acres and features a number of amenities for families to enjoy.

The park features a splash pad that was already on site, there is now a new playground and restroom facilities. The park also has two pavilions, benches, picnic tables, an additional playground area along with open fields.

Mayor Kim McMillan hosted the ribbon cutting event and thanked both the Clarksville Parks + Recreation Department and the Office of Housing and Community Development for their efforts in helping provide the new facilities at the park.
