CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Early voting turnout finished 1.8% above the 2020 totals in Montgomery County. Adding in nursing home and mailed-in ballots, 50,393 Montgomery County voters cast their ballots in 10 days of early voting, compared to 49,509 in 2020, when Joe Biden beat Donald Trump.

Turnout locally was much higher than in 2016 (when Trump beat Hillary Clinton), at 39.3% higher this year.

Statewide, turnout was slightly lower than 2020: 2.9% below, but 32.2% above 2016, according to Tennessee Secretary of State’s Office records.

Here are the daily early voting totals so far in Montgomery County, with about 4,500 people a day casting ballots in the final week, when voting opened at the Outlaw Field and Richellen Park locations:
