CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Early voting continues through today, Nov. 3 in Montgomery County.
Any voter who is registered to vote at least 30 days before election day (Nov. 8) is eligible to vote early in that election. Tennessee has required voters to present government-issued IDs at polling places since 2012.
Stop by the Montgomery County Election Commission on Pageant Lane during Early Voting hours to vote. The office is located just a couple of doors down from the Public Library on Pageant Lane.
About 59 percent of voters cast early or absentee ballots in the last presidential election in 2012. That was down by 1 percentage point from the 2008 presidential election. Early and absentee ballots made up 38 percent of the vote in 2000 and 47 percent in 2004.
