Updated with additional road closures.
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Rising water levels in the basins along Dunlop Lane have led to the need for a temporary pump to remove the water, and that will require shutting down Dunlop this afternoon, perhaps continuing for several days.
The Montgomery County Highway Department is closing a section of Dunlop to install the pump to start draining the basins and reduce the water levels. This closure is expected to occur by 2:30 p.m. today. Dunlop will be shut down from Rollow Lane to John Duke Tyler Boulevard. With the incoming round of heavy rain, expect this closure to last into early next week.

MCHD crews will also be installing a pump in the Farmington subdivision to further reduce the water level in the basin adjacent to that neighborhood.
