CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – As roadwork on Dunbar Cave Road continues, the City of Clarksville announced this week that the Street Department has “accelerated the timeline” for the realignment project.
According to previous reports, the project will improve traffic flow by realigning Dunbar Cave Road to meet Cardinal Lane, reducing the number of intersections and traffic movements near the Rossview schools campus.
The City said that crews are to complete the reopening of Dunbar Cave Road by Aug. 5, before the beginning of this school year, to avoid affecting school bus routes.
“While we understand this may cause temporary traffic delays, we encourage drivers to use alternate routes or follow the posted detour to help minimize congestion,” the City stated. “We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our city’s infrastructure.”
