CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLE) – Dunbar Cave Road has reopened to traffic after over 2 months of being closed for construction.

While the road is once again open to through traffic, the speed limit has been temporarily reduced, according to a Facebook post by the Clarksville Street Department.

A section of Dunbar Cave Road was closed on Sept. 3 while crews worked to replace the bridge over the creek connected to Swan Lake.

The Street Department originally estimated that the project would take 45 days with adequate weather. Construction lasted 78 days.

While the bridge is now open, the speed limit has been reduced to 25 mph until construction is finalized. The Street Department has estimated that this could happen as early as the end of next week.
