MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Clarksville Police Department and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety roadside safety checkpoint on Friday, August 5 on Highway 79 in Montgomery County.

Officers will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol or drug impairment. They will target those who operate a vehicle while impaired.

Law Enforcement says sobriety checkpoints are highly visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving.
