Duane Edwin Dunbar, age 71, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on March 17, 2022, at his home, following a lengthy illness. A memorial in Mr. Dunbar’s name has been established for Tennova Hospice of Clarksville, TN.
Mr. Dunbar was born on June 7, 1950, in Washington, IA to Daryl and Betty Joan Morgan Dunbar. He attended school in Washington. On June 10, 1972, he married Linda Dayton in Washington. Mr. Dunbar served in the Army during Vietnam and completed two tours. He was assigned to the Iowa Army/National Guard in Washington, IA during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield.
Mr. Dunbar is survived by his wife, Linda; son, David (Robin) Dunbar of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Tammy (Charles) Vest of West Chester, IA; siblings; Tracy (Amy) Dunbar of Tampa Bay, FL, Ronnie (Charlotte) Dunbar of Phoenix, AZ, Diane (Raymond) Cline of Iowa City, IA, Deloris (Mike) Lillie of West Chester, IA, Janet (Larry) Knebel of Hills, IA, Doris (Jerry) Williams of Dells, IA, Lori Billmeyer of West Chester, IA, 5 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dunbar is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Ainsworth Cemetery in Ainsworth, IA followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 A.M. at the West Chester Community Center with military honors.
