CLARKVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead from a gunshot at the scene of a rollover crash Monday night.
According to Clarksville Police spokesman Jim Knoll, officers responded to a crash at Warfield Boulevard and Raleigh Court at about 7:40 p.m. Monday. The vehicle had been shot at multiple times and the driver had also been shot.
The victim, identified as 22-year-old Antorius Gallion of Clarksville, was taken to a Nashville hospital where he later died from his injuries.
A female passenger in her 20s was also taken to the hospital with an injured back and was later released. A second male passenger in his 20s did not require medical treatment.
Police said they have solid leads in the case and believe the suspects were not strangers to the victims.
“The crime scene has been processed. Detectives have been tirelessly following leads and conducting interviews throughout the day,” CPD spokesman Jim Knoll said. “There are a lot of actions taking place behind the scene as the case moves forward. We are not currently looking for any suspects at this time.”
Warfield Boulevard was closed to traffic for several hours while officers investigated the scene. The road was re-opened around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
