CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A driver died from injuries sustained in a crash on College Street over the weekend.
Clarksville police said a Mercury driven by 32-year-old Donta Peterson was traveling south on College Street Saturday around 3:30 p.m. and crossed the northbound lanes for an unknown reason.
The car crashed into an empty building at 1320 College Street.
Peterson was transported by ambulance to Tennova Medical Center and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
This is the first fatal crash in the city of Clarksville this year.
