CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Two people were injured in a crash at the intersection of Tobacco Road and Mallard Drive Monday evening in Clarksville.
According to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department, 86-year-old Chong Thornton was driving a Cadillac CTS and failed to stop at a stop sign. The Cadillac collided with a Jeep Wrangler driven by 26-year-old Anthony Yanover, causing the Jeep to land on its side.
Both drivers were transported by EMS to Gateway Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The passenger in the Jeep had no reported injuries.
Thornton was charged with Operators to Use Reasonable Care and Yanover was cited for not wearing a seat belt.
