CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday night at Trough Springs Rd. and Fire Station Rd.

Police said 54-year-old David Bonds of Clarksville was traveling on Trough Springs Rd. around 11:40 p.m. when his vehicle left the right side of the roadway. Bonds sustained minor injuries, but his passenger, 50-year-old Kenneth Keesee of Antioch, TN, was ejected through the door and received fatal injuries.

Bonds admitted to having several drinks before the crash and smelled of alcohol. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests because of the crash.

He has been charged with vehicular homicide and compliance with financial responsibility (no insurance). He was previously charged with DUI in Montgomery County on Nov. 16, 2014.
