CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Best of Clarksville event raised more than $166,000 to benefit local nonprofit groups.
The annual Best of Clarksville was held at Governors Square Mall on October 3 and the Dream Factory of Clarksville was one of many organizations that benefited from the event.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, Dream Factory was presented with a check for $10,000 by Best of Clarksville Chairman Justin Grant at the group’s monthly committee meeting.
The Dream Factory is the nation’s largest children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illnesses. The organization believes children with chronic illnesses and disorders also suffer from substantial emotional and physical pain.
Jereme Miner, area coordinator for the Dream Factory, said there are over 30 Dream Factory chapters across the country with the Clarksville chapter being the oldest in the U.S. In 2020 the organization will celebrate 40 years of making children’s dreams come true.
