CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Parks & Recreation’s Dream Chasers Group Mentoring Program will continue at the Burt-Cobb and Crow Centers.

Dream Chasers is focused on helping at-risk youth, ages 13-17 in a small group atmosphere. Small group leaders, guided by professionals, will mentor youth as they discuss dealing with negative influences that affect teens and will promote making healthy and informed decisions.

The Dream Chasers program meets Wednesdays from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the Burt-Cobb Community Center and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Crow Community Center, beginning September 11 and 12. Free pizza and drinks are provided to participants each week courtesy of Domino’s Pizza. This program is free with a community center ID.

Dream Chasers features not only small group discussion and guidance with the Dream Chasers mentors, but also presentations by guest speakers, teen summits conducted by representatives from the L.E.A.P. Organization, workshops conducted by Miller-Motte Technical College and sessions conducted by professionals on preventing substance abuse and other topics.
