NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Dozens of people gathered Wednesday afternoon to protest the election of Donald Trump in downtown Nashville’s streets.

“Hey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has go to go” is one of the many chants the group shouted as they marched from the Tennessee State Capitol through Lower Broad.

At one point, the protesters stopped in the middle of Broadway and briefly sat down, raising their fists in solidarity as police officers held traffic at bay to keep them safe.

The protesters were also holding various signs, some of which read “SELF LOVE” and “Raise Consciousness.”

Anti-Trump demonstrations were also held in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle.
