CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The businesses in historic downtown Clarksville will host their annual Downtown Open House Saturday, Nov. 2 during regular business hours.

The retail businesses are preparing for the holiday season and encouraging customers to shop locally. Most businesses will participate by offering refreshments and door prizes.

Rogate’s Boutique will host its first ever Waxing Poetic Trunk Show. Samples of sterling charms and chains will be available. With a $50 purchase of Waxing Poetic merchandise, you will be registered to win a sterling necklace, valued at $249. In addition, all costume jewelry (excludes Waxing Poetic) will be 20% off during open house.

Hodgepodge will celebrate its ninth year on Franklin Street with 20 percent discounts to the first nine customers who spend $50 or more on regularly priced merchandise. The store has added Thanksgiving items and Christmas trees.

Ann Marie’s Artisan Bakery now carries local products, such as goat cheese, jellies, farm fresh milk, egs, meat, and more.

Seasons, the gift shop at The Customs House Museum, will be offering discounts on items throughout the shop, as well as door prizes.
