CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC) of Clarksville is proud to announce the opening of the Casa Galleria in the local Casa D’Italia restaurant. Local artists will be featured in the gallery every thirty days. The first artist to be featured is Ruth Sisson.

Sisson’s exhibit consists of a variety of work beginning Oct. 15, at 4 p.m. through Nov. 14. Gaia Robertson the executive manager of the Casa D’Italia, offered the gallery space to DAC to support local artists and provide the value of local art to the restaurant’s customers.

Carolanne Nadeau, president of DAC, said the offer was immediately accepted, and the gallery will feature a local Tennessee artist each month. The Casa Galleria curator, Yuson Yi, believes this addition to the exposure of talented local artists will encourage the creativity of art in Clarksville.

Sisson is an award-winning artist with over 35 years of experience in oil painting. Sisson has an impressionistic style; typical pieces include landscapes and abstract art. Sisson received recognition for her art at juried exhibitions in 2024 and 2025.

The gallery is located at Casa D’Italia, 1345 Fort Campbell Blvd.
