Dorris Atkins, age 79 of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Dorris entered this life on April 22, 1941, to the late Alfred C. and Bessie Lehman Atkins. He was a local business owner for several years, which included Hilldale Barber Shop and Hilldale T.V & Appliance. Dorris enjoyed fishing, playing golf, boating, skiing at Kentucky Lake, beach vacations, watching In Touch Ministries, and spending time with his family. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Talmadge Atkins, Archie Atkins, Buford Atkins, Bishop Atkins, Frank Atkins, Earl Atkins, Christine Pitts, Ruth Shelby, and Evelyn Fain.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Glendell Baggett Atkins; children, Jason Atkins, Wendi (Tommy) Langford, and Ronnie (Amanda) Atkins; grandchildren, Connor Langford, McKenna Langford, Zachary Langford, and Finlee Atkins.
