Dorothy Jean Murray, age 88, of Clarksville, TN passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at her home.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Bear officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Dorothy entered this life on June 8, 1934, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Mitchell and Ethea Lyle Norman. She retired from Acme Boot Company and was a member of Clarksville Church of God of Prophecy, where she served in many leadership positions.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Murray, son, Patrick Murray, and great-grandson, Gatlin James Norwood. Survivors include her children, Barbara (Billy) Buchanan, Cynthia Minnick, and Jean Marie Shock; grandchildren, Eric Buchanan, Michelle Williams, Valarie Buchanan, and Leslie (Jeremy) Norwood; great-grandchildren, Brianna Haumschild, James Williams, Carly Buchanan, Maddie Buchanan, Gracie Buchanan, Wyatt Buchanan, Darcy Norwood, and Mason Norwood.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Shock, Ricky Denton, Ronnie Denton, Brian Hathcock, David Frey, and Jeremy Norwood.
