Dorothy Conner, 94, of Clarksville, TN, died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born November 6, 1918 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Lawrence Rudolph Shelton and Birdie Binkley Shelton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Conner.
Graveside service will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Sango Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
Dorothy was a retired supervisor with Jay Garment Co. She was also a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Lawrence (Lynda) Conner of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Betty (Corky) Carobene of Clarksville, TN; three grandchildren, Larry (Melynda) Conner of Clarksville, TN, Angela (fiance Jon Oxenford) Carobene of California, and Chad (Kristin) Carobene of Clarksville, TN; three great grandchildren, Susan Conner, Wyatt Carobene, and Isabella Carobene; and two step-great grandchildren, Denver Hall and Lia Hall.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to give a special thanks to caregiver Julie Newton and the Gateway Hospice Staff.
