Doris K. Simmons, age 90, of Clarksville, died Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home. She was born in Majia, TX, to the late Richard Allen Mason and Laura Rodgers Mason. Mrs. Simmons was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Simmons, and two brothers, Benny and Roland Mason.
Doris was a member of Waltons Chapel United Methodist Church.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 21 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Paul Robert Gupton and Bro. George Adair officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 20, and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Scott Turrentine, Troy Don Moore, Troy Michael Moore, Chris Hampton, Mike Brown, and Dan Williams.
Doris is survived by her son, Clyde Wayne Turrentine (Emma), of Houston, TX; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Moore, of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
