CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. On Thursday, July 30, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Health Foundation presented a check to Clarksville’s three Rotary Clubs, in the amount of $155,227 during the weekly Sunrise Rotary meeting.
This $155,227.20 will help fund an all-inclusive Rotary playground adjoining the new Rotary Splash Pad at Heritage Park.
Although the Clarksville Sunrise Rotary Club is spearheading both projects (playground and splash pad), the Clarksville Rotary and Clarksville Sunset Clubs are helping and contributing financially to the splash pad.
The Rotary playground and Splash Pad at Heritage Park are scheduled to open May 20, 2016. Once completed, the City of Clarksville will maintain the playground and splash pad.
This all-inclusive playground will be the first of its type to be constructed in Clarksville, permitting all children to participate in physical activity.
